“I am a forty-year-old woman, who is a newlywed of six months. One of my shared goals with my husband was to try to have a baby of our own. Honestly, at my age, I truly did not believe it was possible, but I was more than willing to try every natural resource before giving up. “My husband and I had been trying to conceive for nearly 18 months. Because I was older than 35, my OB-GYN wanted us to begin testing for possible infertility after six months, but we spread it out a little bit longer. After completing blood tests, HSG and semen analysis, nothing indicated why we had not been successful. We decided to do IUI as this was the most "natural" form of insemination. The first round was not successful, so we scheduled a second round for the next cycle. “When I went to see Chris, I had been struggling with infertility for two years. In that period, I had experienced an early miscarriage and two chemical pregnancies.
