Postpartum Depression Natural Treatment: Safe, Effective Recovery Paths

A natural treatment plan for postpartum depression is a powerful way to heal because it gets to the root of why you're feeling this way—from the massive hormonal shifts to the deep nutrient depletion. The whole idea is to restore your body's balance from the inside out using things like targeted nutrition, acupuncture, and mind-body practices. It's a safe, effective path to feeling like yourself again.

Why You Feel This Way: It’s More Than Just “Baby Blues”

If you feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or just not yourself after giving birth, I want you to hear this: what you're feeling is real and valid. It's almost certainly more than the fleeting "baby blues" that everyone talks about. Postpartum depression (PPD) is a legitimate medical condition that needs care and attention, and you are not alone in this.

It's so important to understand that PPD isn't a sign of weakness or that you're failing as a mother. Not at all. Think of it as a whole-system issue. Your body has just been through one of the most demanding events possible—creating and birthing a human being. That process can completely disrupt your internal balance, setting the stage for PPD.

Here's what's going on under the surface:

  • Massive Hormonal Shifts: After you deliver the placenta, your levels of hormones like estrogen and progesterone don't just dip—they plummet. This sudden crash can wreak havoc on your brain chemistry and mood, almost like the worst case of PMS you could ever imagine.
  • Nutrient Depletion: Growing a baby takes an incredible amount of your body's resources. Key nutrients for brain health and a stable mood, like iron, B vitamins (B12 and folate especially), and omega-3s, often get seriously depleted.
  • Physical and Emotional Stress: The physical recovery from birth, combined with severe sleep deprivation and the constant demands of a newborn, puts immense strain on your nervous system and adrenal glands, which are in charge of your stress response.

This flowchart can help you start to see the difference between the very common (and temporary) "baby blues" and the more persistent feelings that might point to PPD.

Flowchart helping new parents differentiate between baby blues and possible postpartum depression or anxiety.

The main takeaway here is that mild, brief mood swings are one thing. But when symptoms are severe, stick around, and get in the way of your life, that's a clear signal you need more support.

A Deeper Look at Postpartum Depression

The statistics really put this into perspective. Postpartum depression affects roughly 15% of women after childbirth—that's about three out of every twenty new mothers. It's a widespread condition, not a rare one. Knowing these numbers helps normalize the experience and, hopefully, encourages more moms to reach out for the support they deserve. You can read more about the impact of postpartum depression on UCLA Health.

To help you get a clearer picture, this table breaks down the key differences between the baby blues and PPD.

Baby Blues vs Postpartum Depression: A Quick Comparison

This chart can help you identify your experience and understand the key differences in symptoms, timing, and severity, empowering you to seek the right support.

SymptomBaby BluesPostpartum Depression (PPD)
TimingStarts 2-3 days after birth, usually gone by 2 weeks. Can start anytime in the first year, but often within 1-3 weeks. Lasts for weeks or months if untreated.
MoodMood swings, weepiness, feeling overwhelmed, but still able to feel moments of happiness.Persistent sadness, emptiness, hopelessness, severe irritability, or numbness. Little to no joy.
AnxietyMild worry about the baby's health or your ability to be a good parent.Intense, often debilitating anxiety, panic attacks, or obsessive, scary thoughts (intrusive thoughts).
FunctioningYou can still care for yourself and your baby, even if you feel emotional.Difficulty functioning, bonding with the baby, or even getting out of bed. Daily tasks feel impossible.
DurationFades on its own as hormones begin to stabilize.Symptoms are persistent and can worsen without support and treatment.
Appetite & SleepMinor changes, often related to the new schedule and fatigue.Significant changes—either eating much more or much less. Insomnia even when the baby is asleep, or sleeping too much.
Feelings of GuiltSome feelings of inadequacy are common.Intense, pervasive feelings of guilt, shame, worthlessness, or feeling like a failure as a mother.

Seeing your experience laid out like this can be the first step toward understanding what’s happening and knowing it’s time to get help.

We recently worked with a patient, Sarah, an attorney who had her first child after years of focusing on her career. She was wrestling with immense guilt because she didn't feel the "instant bond" she expected and was completely overwhelmed by constant anxiety.

"I felt like I was failing at the one thing that was supposed to be natural," she told us. "I was exhausted, irritable, and just felt hollow."

Sarah's story is incredibly common. For her, a natural treatment plan wasn't about adding more to her already overflowing plate. We developed a personalized plan that was simple to follow and built for her to succeed. We started with just two manageable steps: weekly acupuncture to calm her nervous system and a specific, breastfeeding-safe supplement to start rebuilding her nutrient stores.

This gentle, personalized approach met her right where she was. It built a foundation for her to heal without creating more stress. Simply understanding the "why" behind her feelings was the first step toward reclaiming herself.

Exploring Your Treatment Options: From Conventional to Holistic

Trying to figure out treatment for postpartum depression can feel completely overwhelming, especially when you're already running on empty. The good news is, there are more effective options out there than ever before, from conventional medicine to supportive, holistic therapies. Let's walk through the landscape so you can make a choice that feels right for you.

A stethoscope and pill bottle next to a daisy in a bottle and a glass of water, representing healthcare.

Many women get incredible relief from conventional treatments like psychotherapy and antidepressants, such as SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors). For some, these medications are absolute lifesavers, managing severe symptoms and creating the stability needed to bond with a new baby.

Just recently, in August 2023, the medical field saw a major step forward. The FDA approved a medication called zuranolone (marketed as Zurzuvae), the first-ever oral pill specifically for PPD. It's designed to act fast—often within days—and clinical trials showed it significantly improved depressive symptoms.

Why Many Moms Look for a Different Path

While these medical options are powerful tools, they aren't the perfect fit for everyone. Some women struggle with side effects, feel that medication just puts a band-aid on the symptoms without fixing the root cause, or simply aren't comfortable taking pharmaceuticals while breastfeeding.

This is exactly why a growing number of savvy, educated mothers are looking for a postpartum depression natural treatment plan.

This isn't about rejecting medicine. It's about embracing a proactive, whole-person approach that gets to the bottom of the hormonal, nutritional, and nervous system imbalances driving PPD. It’s about building a foundation for wellness that lasts, not just putting out fires.

As you explore what's best for you, practical tips for coping with postpartum depression can give you immediate support, no matter which path you take.

A Personalized Plan Built for Real Life

I remember working with a patient named Maria, a second-time mom who felt utterly depleted and anxious—a world away from her first postpartum experience. Her OB-GYN prescribed an SSRI, but the side effects left her feeling "fuzzy and disconnected," which was the exact feeling she was trying to get away from.

Maria wasn’t anti-medication, but she knew that particular path wasn't for her. She wanted a plan that would help her body heal from the inside out.

"I didn't want another overwhelming 'to-do' list," she told me in her first visit. "I needed a few simple, powerful things that would actually make a difference without adding more stress to my life."

This is precisely where a personalized, holistic plan shines. For Maria, we built a strategy that was simple to follow and designed for success, not overwhelm. Her plan had just three core pieces:

  • Weekly Acupuncture: To calm her frazzled nervous system and gently guide her hormones back into balance.
  • Targeted Nutrition: We pinpointed a few key dietary shifts to stabilize her blood sugar and mood. No crazy overhaul, just small changes with a big impact.
  • Specific Supplementation: We recommended two crucial, breastfeeding-safe supplements to replenish the exact nutrients her body was screaming for.

This kind of approach recognizes that your journey is unique. It’s not a one-size-fits-all protocol but a partnership designed to restore your body’s natural balance and help you feel like yourself again. For those exploring options beyond the postpartum period, you can learn more about our philosophy in our guide to natural depression treatment.

Building Your Foundation for Natural Recovery

Feeling your way back from postpartum depression isn't about adding a hundred more things to your already overflowing plate. It’s about building a solid foundation, one small, powerful step at a time. This is where we always start—with simple, sustainable habits that begin to replenish your body and calm your mind from day one.

A healthy meal with grilled salmon, oatmeal with berries and walnuts, and a 'breastfeeding safe' supplement bottle.

The goal here isn't to hand you a stressful, overwhelming checklist. The real work is in creating a personalized, easy-to-follow plan that gets to the root causes of PPD. We start with the absolute basics: putting back what was lost, calming the nervous system, and creating a supportive environment for your body to finally heal.

Rebuilding Your Nutrient Stores Safely

Think of your body after birth like a garden after a huge harvest—the soil is depleted and needs to be carefully tended to. Pregnancy and childbirth demand an immense amount of key nutrients, and this depletion is a major driver of postpartum mood disorders. This is why focusing on nutrition is a cornerstone of any effective postpartum depression natural treatment.

We help our patients replenish these crucial building blocks for brain health and mood stability, always ensuring that any recommendation is completely safe for breastfeeding.

A few key nutrients we almost always focus on include:

  • Omega-3 Fatty Acids (especially DHA): Your baby’s brain development literally uses up your DHA stores. It’s no surprise that low levels are strongly linked to postpartum depression. Great sources include salmon, sardines, and algae-based DHA supplements.
  • B Vitamins (B12, B6, Folate): These are non-negotiable for creating neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, which regulate your mood. Deficiencies are incredibly common postpartum and can mimic or worsen depressive symptoms.
  • Iron: Blood loss during delivery can easily lead to iron-deficiency anemia, which causes extreme fatigue, brain fog, and a low mood that can be mistaken for PPD on its own.
  • Vitamin D: Often called the "sunshine vitamin," it plays a critical role in mood regulation. Most new moms we see are deficient, especially when they’re spending most of their time indoors with a newborn.

A Case Study in Actionable Change

We recently worked with a patient, Emily, an elementary school teacher with a toddler and a brand-new baby. She felt completely drained, irritable, and disconnected from her family. The thought of a complicated diet or supplement routine was just too much.

"I remember telling them, 'I can't handle another thing on my plate. I need this to be simple, or I won't do it,'" she explained. "I was surviving on coffee and toast."

We heard her loud and clear. Her personalized plan had to be built for success, not for adding more stress. We quickly identified that her biggest issues were blood sugar crashes and severe iron and B vitamin depletion.

Her starting plan had just three simple, actionable steps:

  1. A Protein-Rich Smoothie: We gave her a 3-ingredient smoothie recipe to have every morning. This stabilized her blood sugar and packed in nutrients without requiring any real cooking.
  2. Two Key Supplements: We recommended a high-quality, breastfeeding-safe iron and B-complex supplement to take with her lunch.
  3. A Daily 15-Minute Walk: Just a short walk outside to get sunlight for Vitamin D and some gentle movement to boost endorphins.

This simple-to-follow plan was manageable. Within a few weeks, Emily told us she had more energy, felt less irritable, and had a greater sense of calm. It wasn't a magic cure, but it was the strong foundation she needed to begin feeling like herself again.

Sleep and Movement: The Non-Negotiables

Telling a new parent to "get more sleep" feels like a cruel joke. We get it. The goal is realistic quality, not just quantity. The single most important strategy is to find a way to get one 3-4 hour stretch of uninterrupted sleep every 24 hours. This is crucial for your brain to clear out metabolic waste and actually repair itself.

Gentle movement is just as important. You don't need to hit the gym. A slow walk around the block, a few simple stretches, or a 10-minute postpartum yoga video can do wonders. Movement helps reduce levels of the stress hormone cortisol and release mood-boosting endorphins, making it a surprisingly powerful tool in your recovery.

Holistic Therapies That Address Root Causes

While foundational habits like good nutrition and gentle movement build up your resilience, sometimes the body needs more focused support to truly get back on its feet. A genuinely effective approach to postpartum depression looks deeper, aiming to correct the underlying imbalances that are really driving your symptoms. This is where holistic therapies like Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and functional medicine really shine—they don’t just put a band-aid on the problem; they help your body find its way back to balance.

This is about understanding that symptoms like anxiety, low mood, and exhaustion aren't the problem itself. They're signals from your body that something is out of sync. Instead of just trying to quiet the signal, we have to listen to it and find the source. For new mothers, this often points back to major disruptions in the hormonal system, the nervous system, or even the gut.

Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine

From a TCM perspective, pregnancy and birth are profoundly depleting events. They can throw the body's flow of Qi (your vital energy) and blood completely out of whack. This deep depletion can leave your systems—especially the nervous and endocrine (hormonal) systems—struggling to recalibrate in the aftermath. Acupuncture works by stimulating specific points on the body to restore this natural flow, gently nudging your systems back toward harmony.

Think of your nervous system after birth like a guitar string that's been pulled way too tight for far too long. It's just humming with stress and tension. Acupuncture helps to carefully loosen that tension, dialing down the "fight-or-flight" response and activating the "rest-and-repair" mode that is so essential for healing.

This has a few direct benefits for postpartum recovery:

  • Hormonal Regulation: Acupuncture can help modulate the stress hormone cortisol and support your entire endocrine system as it works to rebalance estrogen and progesterone.
  • Nervous System Calming: It encourages the release of endorphins, your body’s natural feel-good chemicals, and can dramatically improve sleep quality—a game-changer even when you’re only getting it in short bursts.
  • Restoring Energy: By addressing that deep-seated depletion, acupuncture helps rebuild your energy reserves from the inside out, fighting back against the profound fatigue that so often comes with PPD.

A Case Study in Finding Calm

I remember working with "Chloe," a graphic designer who came to see us a few months after her baby was born. She described a constant, humming anxiety in her chest and was being tormented by intrusive thoughts that terrified her. Even when her baby was asleep, she couldn't rest. Her mind just would not shut off.

"I felt like I was broken," she told us, fighting back tears. "My doctor offered me medication, but I was worried about how it would affect my breastfeeding and if I'd feel even more disconnected. I wanted to try something that would help my body fix itself."

Her plan had to be simple and supportive, not another thing on her to-do list to stress about. We started with twice-weekly acupuncture sessions focused entirely on calming her nervous system and nourishing her body. We also added a specific, practitioner-guided herbal formula known for its safety during lactation and its ability to soothe anxiety. Within just three weeks, Chloe reported that the constant "hum" of anxiety had finally quieted. She was falling asleep faster and felt more present and connected with her baby.

Functional Medicine for Uncovering Hidden Stressors

While TCM focuses on energetic balance, functional medicine comes at it from a different angle. It asks: why is the body’s system malfunctioning? It uses advanced testing to dig for hidden stressors that can be major contributors to postpartum depression.

These often include things like:

  • Thyroid Imbalances: Postpartum thyroiditis, an inflammation of the thyroid gland, affects up to 10% of women. Its symptoms—fatigue, depression, anxiety—are nearly identical to those of PPD.
  • Adrenal Dysfunction: The sheer stress of birth and newborn care can completely exhaust the adrenal glands, leading to what many people call "adrenal fatigue." This throws cortisol rhythms off, wrecking your energy, mood, and sleep.
  • Gut Health Issues: The gut-brain axis is a real and powerful connection. An imbalance in gut bacteria or inflammation in your digestive system can directly mess with neurotransmitter production and fuel depressive symptoms.

By identifying these specific issues, we can create an even more targeted treatment plan. This might involve practitioner-guided supplementation with specific herbs or nutrients to support thyroid function or heal the gut lining. This is where professional guidance is absolutely key—the right supplements can be incredibly effective, but the wrong ones can be useless or even unsafe. For those curious about how specific supplements can help, our clinic has put together a useful guide on natural supplements for stress that explores this topic in more detail.

By weaving these holistic therapies together, we move way beyond just managing symptoms. We partner with you to uncover and address the true root causes, creating a personalized, simple-to-follow plan that supports your body’s own ability to heal and helps you feel like yourself again.

Learning to Calm the Overwhelmed Nervous System

The heavy weight of postpartum depression—the endless worry, the scary thoughts, the feeling that you’re drowning—isn't just happening "in your head." Your mental state is physically wired into your body's ability to heal and recover. That’s why a huge piece of any successful PPD plan involves actively calming your nervous system with mind-body tools.

These aren't complicated or time-consuming practices. They are simple, surprisingly powerful ways to regulate your body’s stress response and find pockets of relief, even on the absolute worst days. Techniques like intentional breathing, mindfulness, and guided meditation are designed to pull your body out of that constant, high-alert "fight-or-flight" state and into the "rest-and-digest" mode where real healing begins.

Practical Tools That Bring Instant Calm

For most new moms, the thought of adding one more thing to their plate is a non-starter. We completely get it. That’s why we focus on building a personalized plan with simple, doable steps that won't add to the overwhelm.

We once worked with a patient, an architect we'll call "Jenna," who was completely consumed by anxiety. She described a constant, buzzing tension in her chest and couldn't sleep, even when her baby was sleeping soundly. Her mind just wouldn't shut off, and she felt totally disconnected from her own body.

"I felt like I was living in a constant state of emergency," she told us. "I needed a way to turn down the noise in my head, but meditating felt like another thing I could fail at."

So, her plan didn't start with a 30-minute meditation practice. It started with one simple instruction: three times a day, practice box breathing for just 60 seconds. Inhale for four counts, hold for four, exhale for four, and hold for four. That's it. This tiny, manageable practice was her way in. It gave her a real tool to use the moment anxiety started to spike, calming her frazzled nervous system from the inside out.

Therapies That Connect Mind and Body

Beyond these daily practices, certain therapies are incredibly effective because they get right to the heart of the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and physical responses. Two of the most proven are:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): This approach helps you spot and challenge the negative thought loops that fuel PPD, like intense feelings of guilt or not being a good enough mother.
  • Interpersonal Therapy (IPT): This therapy focuses on strengthening your relationships and support systems, which are absolutely essential for navigating the massive life shift of becoming a parent.

Study after study has shown just how powerful these therapies can be. One landmark study on IPT for PPD found that women who went through the therapy had major drops in their depressive symptoms and huge improvements in their social lives and overall well-being. You can read more about these findings on psychosocial interventions for PPD.

Creating a Mind-Body Plan That Actually Works for You

For Jenna, that simple breathing exercise was just the beginning. Once she started to feel more grounded, we slowly built on her plan. We added 5-minute guided meditations she could listen to while feeding her baby and taught her how to use affirmations to push back against her anxious thoughts. If you're new to affirmations, you can check out our guide on how to do affirmations so they actually work.

The goal is never to hand you a rigid, one-size-fits-all list of rules. It’s about creating a simple, easy-to-follow plan that meets you exactly where you are and sets you up to succeed. It's about treating you as a whole person—mind, body, and spirit—not just a list of symptoms. Integrating gentle movement and mental wellness tools can deepen your recovery. To explore this further, you might consider resources on yoga therapy. This kind of complete approach ensures every part of you is supported on your path back to feeling like yourself again.

Your Personalized Path to Postpartum Wellness

It’s one thing to understand the science behind holistic therapies. It’s another thing entirely to see how they all come together in a real person’s life. This is where theory becomes practice. A successful postpartum depression natural treatment plan isn't a generic checklist—it’s a partnership built around your unique story, biology, and needs.

A doctor consults a smiling mother cradling her baby in a sling, in a medical setting.

To show you what this actually looks like, let’s walk through the journey of a patient we’ll call ‘Jessica,’ a new mom who came to us feeling completely disconnected, exhausted, and unlike herself.

The Story of Jessica: A Mom in the Fog

Jessica walked into our clinic when her son was three months old. A driven marketing professional, she was used to being in control and on top of her game. Now, she felt like she was drowning in a fog of anxiety and sadness she just couldn't shake.

"I loved my baby, but I didn't feel that rush of joy everyone talks about," she told us during her first visit. "Mostly, I just felt hollow and terrified I was doing everything wrong. My days were a blur of feeding, changing, and crying—both his and mine."

This is a story we hear all too often. The immense pressure to be a "perfect mother" can be absolutely crushing, especially when you're physically and emotionally depleted. Jessica’s journey with us began not with a prescription pad, but with a real conversation. We listened to her entire story—from her pregnancy and birth experience to her current daily struggles.

Creating a Plan for Success, Not Overwhelm

The next step was to look deeper. We recommended a few key functional tests to get a clear picture of what was happening inside her body. The results revealed what we suspected: her progesterone levels were extremely low, her cortisol rhythm was completely dysregulated from sleep deprivation, and she was significantly deficient in iron and key B vitamins.

This data wasn't just a bunch of numbers; it was the blueprint for her personalized plan. We knew that handing Jessica a long list of "to-dos" would only add to her overwhelm. So instead, we built a simple, manageable plan designed to get results without adding more stress to her plate.

Her plan had just three core components:

  • Weekly Acupuncture Sessions: These were focused on calming her nervous system, supporting her exhausted adrenal glands, and gently encouraging her hormones to find their balance again.
  • Two Key Supplements: We started her on a high-quality, breastfeeding-safe iron supplement and a methylated B-complex to begin rebuilding her most critical nutrient stores.
  • Simple Dietary Shifts: We didn't put her on a restrictive diet. We simply had her add a protein-and-fat-rich food (like a handful of almonds or a scoop of avocado) to every meal and snack. This was a small tweak aimed at stabilizing her blood sugar and, by extension, her mood.

This approach is all about partnership. We didn’t just hand Jessica a plan and send her on her way; we worked with her every single week, adjusting things as needed and celebrating the small wins along the way.

Within a month, the fog began to lift. She told us she felt more grounded. The constant anxiety started to quiet down. And most importantly, she began to find those moments of genuine joy with her baby.

Jessica’s story shows how a clear, manageable path can empower you to reclaim your well-being. It’s not about quick fixes but about sustainable, supportive care that helps you feel like yourself again.

Questions We Hear All The Time About Natural PPD Treatment

It's completely normal to have questions when you're thinking about a new approach to your health, especially when you're navigating the postpartum world. Here are some straightforward answers to the things we discuss most often with new moms considering a natural path for PPD. Our goal is to give you clarity and the confidence to take the next step.

How Quickly Can I Expect to Feel Better?

Every woman's body is different, and there's no magic timeline. But, many of our patients tell us they feel a noticeable sense of calm and start sleeping better within just a few acupuncture sessions. That initial shift is a great sign that your nervous system is starting to come back into balance.

For the deeper, more lasting changes in your mood, energy, and just feeling like yourself again, a consistent plan over several weeks makes the real difference. When we bring in targeted nutrition, specific supplements, and herbal medicine, most women feel a significant, positive shift within 4 to 6 weeks. This is the time it takes to really replenish your body's nutrient stores and help your hormones find their new rhythm. We're focused on steady, sustainable healing, not quick fixes.

Are Herbal Remedies and Supplements Actually Safe While Breastfeeding?

This is probably the most important question we get, and it’s one that requires real expertise. Your baby’s safety is our non-negotiable, number one priority.

The truth is, many herbs and supplements you can buy online or at the store are not safe to take while you're lactating. This is why trying to figure it out on your own with Google can be so risky. Professional guidance isn't just helpful here—it's essential.

At The Axelrad Clinic, our practitioners are board-certified and have specialized training in postpartum herbal medicine and nutrition. We only work with herbs and supplements that have a proven safety record for breastfeeding. This way, you can be certain that we're looking out for the health of both you and your baby.

Can I Use Natural Therapies if I'm Already on Antidepressants?

Absolutely. In fact, combining conventional and natural medicine is often incredibly effective. Our team has years of experience creating care plans that work alongside and even enhance the benefits of your medication.

For many women, this kind of integrative approach offers the best of both worlds. Acupuncture can help with common medication side effects like low libido or fatigue, while nutritional therapy can fix underlying deficiencies that medication simply can't address.

We believe in teamwork. We're more than happy to work with your prescribing doctor to make sure your entire plan is safe, coordinated, and gives you the most complete support system possible.

I remember one patient who was getting good results from her antidepressant but was still just dragging through her days with low energy and brain fog. We created a personalized plan for her with weekly acupuncture and two key, breastfeeding-safe supplements that support brain function and energy. That combination was what finally helped her feel not just less depressed, but truly vibrant and clear-headed again. Our plans are always designed to be simple and easy to follow—the last thing you need right now is more to feel overwhelmed about.

What to Expect as a New Patient

Our process is simple, supportive, and designed to guide you from your very first consultation all the way to long-term wellness.

Free Initial Consultation

We begin with a complimentary consultation to understand your concerns, review your health history, and answer your questions so you can determine if our care is the right fit for your needs.

Intake & First Treatment

At your intake appointment, your doctor will gather a more complete health picture, then create a customized treatment plan including treatment frequency, dietary guidance, supplements, and herbs precisely selected and properly dosed for optimal results. At this visit you will also receive your initial acupuncture treatment.

Active Care Phase

You’ll begin a series of regular treatments designed to address the root causes of your condition. During this phase, your doctor will closely monitor key markers of improvement and adjust your treatment plan as things progress.

Transitional Phase

Once we reach our goal, we begin reducing the frequency of visits while continuing to reinforce and stabilize your results.

Graduation

Once your main concerns are resolved, you’ll no longer need ongoing treatment. Many patients choose to continue with occasional wellness visits — monthly, quarterly, or even annually — to maintain long-term balance, prevent relapse, and to detect and address any new health issues as early as possible.
