The protocols we use, which have been developed and refined since we first started back in 2004, have several key benefits for those attempting Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET), all of which are supported by reputable scientific sources, including:
- Optimal thickness of the uterine lining. Our treatment protocols bring increased blood flow into the uterus, ensuring the lining has everything it needs to grow to its optimal thickness for successful embryo implantation.
- Minimizing inflammation and reactivity of the lining. Our treatment protocols minimize inflammation throughout the body and especially in the uterus itself. This allows the delicate and intricate embryo implantation process to progress without the disruptive cellular signals generated by inflammation.
- Increased uterine receptivity during transfer. Acupuncture has been shown to reduce the “micro-spasms” of the uterine wall that sometimes occur and can make implantation more difficult for the embryo. The relaxed, calm uterus then calmly accepts the embryo.
- Significant reduction of stress and anxiety. While not an absolute block to success, stress and anxiety do make the entire FET process more difficult not only emotionally, but also by generating background cellular signals that can disrupt implantation and uterine receptivity as well as lining development. Acupuncture triggers a deep relaxation response in the body, and that relaxation can last for days and eventually weeks as more treatments are completed.
